Braided reinforced catheter designs are typically used for applications that require high torque, burst pressure resistance, pushability, steerability, and kink resistance. AP Technologies offers different braiding patterns to support your product design.
– Regular braid pattern: 1 x 2 This pattern is most commonly used pattern as it provides balanced torque throughout the catheter shaft
– Diamond braid pattern: 2 x 2 This pattern tends to provide better torque and more kink resistance than the regular braid pattern.
– Diamond braid pattern, half load: 1 x 1 This pattern provides even more torque than the regular diamond pattern.
– Coil pattern: It’s a good choice if you are looking for better flexibility in your applications.
